Really small, family owned place. Food was really good, and very quick! I ordered the roast beef and gravy, with mashed potatoes and green beans. The food was really good, and felt homemade something that most chain restaurants have lost. We will be back <3 this is my aunt's favorite place in Kentucky to eat!

Had lunch today at a very special place with a friend. A local favorite that is mostly a secret. Frances, the owner has operated her restaurant for 26 years and has an excellent selection of home cooked food. Well worth a special trip to enjoy the unique flavors of Appalachian foods. Green beans, fried chicken, pork sandwich, fried apples -- all prepared with a special touch. And she generously shares her secrets. Ask her how she prepares her deep fried banana peppers.

One of the best place I have eaten at in hazard

Called an order for delivery. Just two miles away at 10:30pm. 12am. Still no food. It it comes, I'M NOT PAYING FOR COLD FOOD AND TIPPING A DRIVER TO BE AN HR LATE!!!!!

Food was incredible; just as I remember as a kid. Only reason I have 4 stars was because it took us just under a hour to get our food. No worries though, I'll certainly be back when I come thru for a visit. Sometimes we have an off day, so I'm chalking the delay up as such.

They have great food everyone is friendly and helpful and they deliver breakfast and lunch and dinner .

Homemade dumplings were ok. Nice place to keep you out of McDonalds... Would have been 4 stars but they let people smoke in here. Not healthy!!

we love the convenience of the 24 hour restaurant. Everything was wonderful with the exception of the biscuits were a little bit dry. Other than that it was very yummy.

Best place in town to eat for home cooking. They have the most friendliest staff, great cooks and great atmosphere. Love going here to eat.

Food was good but if you don't have cash don't go in and buy just a sandwich and a coke. They'll make you feel like crud for using a card. Kinda hard for me when I don't carry cash.

I ordered their own cook Vegetable Soup & its deliciously good! I was surprised, the atmosphere inside smells clean now, unlike before. There's a big sign "NO SMOKING" it helps! Good job France's Diner. I can now highly recommend your food store now!

Great selection, great service, great local food

I've been coming here since I was a kid. I don't live around here any more but I always stop in when I'm down for a visit. Still fabulous food, but the waitress could've been a little more friendlier. Both times I stopped in, it took nearly a hour to get our food. Like I said though, the food was fabulous so that's the 4stars given.

Good home cook food. And you order what u want when you want it. The way you want it. And the blonde head girl. Named Darlene is my hard working wife. And mother of three. And Frances is the owner and she is 76 years old and has been working 53 years in the restaurant Business. Loves people and Ames to please.

This is the best place in Hazard to get a Bacon Cheeseburger at 2 am!!! Love that this restaurant stays open 25 hours! It has the ABSOLUTE BEST bacon cheeseburger in the world
